shakuntalam -- act 5 6 and 7.



act5
shakuntala enters dushyan't court,  along with rishikumar and gowthami. dushyant is not able to recognise her. even  after seeing her face he is unable to recognise. dushyant forgets  ghandharva vivah he did with her. rishi kumar talks about the incidents which happened when the king was there,  but all attempts fail. shakuntala wants  to show the ring he gave her. but here again fate has played the trick,the ring was  not  there, she has lost it while paying homage  to  river shachi .dushyant says he has not cheated anybody until now . he is innocent.
dushyant tries to recollect the  women among the hermitage, who is very tender covering  the face  rishikumar unable to take her back to  kanva's ashram  left  her behind  and proceeded. shakuntala is in a pathetic state, leaving the court of dushyant, not knowing where to go.
raj purohit reminds king  of the prediction that he will be blessed with a male child first.  . so he advises king to give shelter to this women. if the child is male and has the definitions of a chakravarthi , then  we can call her inside the palace until then she was allowed to be in the kingdom.   king agrees and , shakuntala follows purohit in a sad state
desperate shakuntala cries for help.  a group ladies came from the sky and took shakuntala on the bank of the river apsarathirth.  narrating this incidence,  purihit makes an attempt to remind  king.  .though dushyant is not able to recollect shakuntala , but subconscious  mind accepts her as  wife.

act 6
a fisherman was caught when he was selling a ring in which royal symbol was inscribed. he was brought to the court. dushyant saw the ring and immediately recognised it and recollected everything.  he honored the  honest fisherman with a prize money. afflicted with guilt  and he  sets out to find  shakuntala. .   he tells vidhoshak , his friend  madhavya , that he has recalled shakuntala.
vasanth ruthu is set in  . mango trees are full of white and red flowers. the koyal gets intoxicated seeing these flowers and starts singing. so sanumathi apsara is sent by menaka to observe dushyant . she talked  to dushyant and he felt  sorry for the shameful act of  humiliating    and throwing  her out of the court   he narrates the pathetic  look shakuntala gave with a tearful eyes before leaving the court with the purohit  is like a poisonous spear logged in to his body.
. sanumathi  observes that  vasanth ruthu is setting in but no    celebration. she is curious to know the reason.
.dushyant tells her - this ring  slipped off the  tender and beautiful fingers of shakuntala.  he  believed in this abstract thing and  rejected  shakuntala  .how can i enjoy vasant ruthu. he starts brings her in canvas. here kalidasa speaks about the viyog ras

indira was attacked by demons . he knew that king dushyant can only kill them but his state of mind was totally different. his charioteer mathali,  becomes invisible  and  hits madhvya  to take him out of a temporary phycological state and aggravate him., so that dushyant will help indira his friend  in destroying  kalanemi demon's. indira sends pushpaka vimana to dushyant  he travels to indira loka to help indira to destroy the demons.

 here kalidasa writes- like shifting the position of the firewood , the flame ignites , angry snake spread its hood and  hisses, sometimes for humans it is necessary to induce anger.

act 7

on his way back , after destroying the demons,  ,from the sky   dushyant saw baghavan marichi's ashram( Indira's father) on the hill of gandhamadhan. he decided to take his blessings.  marichi is explaining his wife  about the duties of a devoted and virtuous wife. dhakshayani is also there at that time.
 there dushyant  finds a 5 years old  rishikumar sarvadhaman  who  is playing with a lion cub.he was amazed.  . suddenly the aparajitha medicine tied  on his hands fell  down.it was tied by marichi soon after his birth to protect him .  only his  parents or he himself can pick the medicine .if unknown person picks it  the medicine  will become snake  and kill that  person. but now when dushyant picks it up nothing happens. dushyant makes him sit on his lap .shakuntala comes there in  untidy and  casual state. dushyant recognised her and  they are reunited .bharat is introduced to dushyant. she felt  fate has reunited  them.

all three of them went to seek   marichi's blessings  .he explains to dushyant that-menaka brought shakuntala to dhakshayani here after the separation . through meditation he knew what all happened .  dushyant  apologises to marichi.  kalidasa writes- like a dirty mirror cannot reflect our face. marichi says durvasa's curse veiled dushyant  from recognising shakuntala .  when he looks at the ring he will recollect everything. so he tells shakuntala not to blame  her husband  .
marichi  explained -- shakuntala that her husband is equivalent to indira, her son sarvadhamon is comparable to indira's son jayant, - you become like indrani .kashyap marishi and his wife athithi also blessed shakuntala . marichi tells to dushyant  that he is blessed with - shakuntala a devoted and virtuous wife,  a very disciplined son - sarvadhaman-  belief ,money and destiny at one place.-dushyant is spellbound with the powers of marichi- and told him  -  first  flower comes then the fruit- first dark clouds comes and then rain starts--there is reason behind  every  work,but here before seeking his blessings  , he is reunited with his family
 marichi describes about the child -.in the   hermitage  he is aggressively  controlling the wild animals  so he is given the  name of -- sarvadhaman. but in future he will be named as BHARAT  . he will be a great  conqueror of  the land and will rule the seven ocean ,he will cross the seven islands in pushpaka vimana, he will take good care of the people.
athithi says -since menaka is also there,  kanva maharishi should  be informed  about this news that shakuntala is free of durvasa's  curse .and dushyant has accepted her.

dushyant says he can draw the curtain with a bharat vakya.

let god shiva  bless him no reincarnation  , king  always be ready to serve his people , learned be  honoured .
